Business owner captures 4th shooting outside his Bijou Street location in last seven months
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The owner of "SICK LED" Stereo Installation and Custom Lighting captured a shootout Thursday afternoon on his security cameras outside of his location off of Bijou and Balfour.
He said it's the latest in a long line of shootings, drug deals, and even a death his cameras have captured.
"We need help. It's a constant now." SICK LED owner Don Cook said.
In the video from around 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, you see two people ducking behind some cars with gunfire ringing out. They appear to be under gunfire, and one of the individuals looks to return fire with his own weapon.

It's the fourth shooting Cook has captured on his security cameras since last December. He said violence has only gotten worse since he opened his store three years ago.
"We had to add extra security cameras here just to feel safer," Cook said.
In December, Cook got into a shootout with a man who came to his door with an automatic pistol. Cook said it started when he saw the man across the street doing drugs and told him to leave.
On the security video, you see the man come to Cook's door and shoot one shot into the air. You hear Cook return fire with what he said was a warning shot to scare him off. You then see the man run off camera and unload multiple shots that Cook said were directed at him.
Cook said the man came back with two more people and shot up his shop. He still has the bullet holes that went all the way through his drywall and into his store.
"My wife is still traumatized when she sees vehicles resembling the vehicle that was involved. She says she has PTSD, and I believe her," Cook said.
Cook has photos of multiple hand-to-hand transactions and drug usage on the same block where these shootings occurred. Last month, his camera recorded what CSPD said was a drug overdose. You see paramedics doing CPR on a person on the ground. We have seen the video and are choosing not to show it.
"I would say, three years ago, I'd have more empathy. But I think since seeing what I've been seeing, I've been desensitized, and I actually had no emotions when that person passed. I'm sorry for that, but being here is making us a lot harder," Cook said.
Cook said he hopes he can soon be his old self again.
"I feel like it's a test of humanity on whether or not we can come back from it. I'm going to come back from it."
CSPD confirmed a shooting on the corner of Bijou and Balfour yesterday afternoon, saying two groups of people fired "several rounds" at each other. CSPD said there is no evidence right now that anyone was shot, saying everyone was gone by the time police arrived, and no one has been arrested.
