Colorado Springs Utilities confirms forklift accident to blame for massive power outage
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Springs Utilities is working on getting power back up for more than 3,800 customers Sunday morning after an outage.
They say it's related to a forklift that crashed into a power pole. Colorado Springs fire rescued one boom operator Sunday morning who is now being evaluated for injuries.
CSU says they now have to get the bucket out of the lines before they can work on restoring power to the 3800 customers in the area impacted by the outage.

The outage impacts portions of Old Colorado City and Broadmoore up to Pleasant Valley.
KRDO is working on getting more details about how the outage happened and when power is supposed to be back up.
