Investigation continues into shooting at Colorado Springs’ Citadel Mall

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The investigation into the shooting Wednesday at the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs continues.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said they received a call around 3:25 p.m. Wednesday about the shooting. CSPD has confirmed that the shooting did take place inside the mall and that one adult male was found on scene with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

CSPD said the mall was on a brief lockdown but this was not an active shooter. The department also said the shooting did not happen in a publicly accessible area.

As of the latest reports, no suspect is in custody, according to CSPD.

Fort Carson recently released its Off Limits Areas List and included on that list was the Citadel Mall. This list is issued by the Army and lists places where "all uniformed Armed Services personnel" are not allowed.
