Police investigating shootout between 2 groups in east Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police have more than a dozen shell casings from multiple weapons and a few tips from witnesses, but they're still looking into what happened during an apparent shootout Monday afternoon in east Colorado Springs.
CSPD says officers were called to the 1500 block of Keaton Lane, near Palmer Park and Murray boulevards, around 1:45 p.m. Monday. Witnesses told investigators that "two groups were shooting at each other in the middle of the street."
Police say they found at least 15 shell casings at the scene. One house was also hit by the gunfire, but police say no one inside was injured.
CSPD hasn't said if the shootout resulted in injuries; no arrests have been made as of Tuesday.
