Serious crash at Academy and Bijou

Following a severe crash at Academy and Bijou all southbound Academy traffic will be diverted onto Platte and all northbound traffic will be diverted onto Pikes Peak.

CSPD warns drivers to avoid the area and plan for alternate routes.

Police said the intersection will be blocked for several hours while they investigate the possibility of the crash being DUI-related.

All SB Academy traffic will be diverted onto Platte and all NB Academy traffic will be diverted onto Pikes Peak due to a crash at Academy/Bijou. Please avoid the area and plan for alternate routes.
