2 students and third driver in critical condition after crash in front of Doherty High School
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Springs Police (CSPD) are investigating a serious crash in front of Doherty High School Tuesday. Police say three people are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, two of whom are students.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) arrived on scene to extricate individuals from the cars following the crash.
CSPD says four cars were involved. They say a white car holding three students was making a left turn into the Doherty High campus when the car was hit.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and they are working to determine fault and what factors led up to the crash.
According to CSPD, a total of five people were involved in the crash. Four people were transported to a local hospital, three in critical condition and one with minor injuries.
