Bear tears up inside of unlocked car in Telluride
It’s happened before, and despite warnings from sheriff’s offices across the state of Colorado, it’ll probably happen again: a bear got into an unlocked car and tore up the inside.
The San Miguel Sheriff’s Office posted a video of the incident in Telluride late Tuesday. A bear got into an unlocked car, and first responders had to tie a rope to the handle to safely open it.
The bear is seen lumbering out after a few seconds, and then it runs away.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife has warned that bears will break into vehicles if they smell something interested, even if there’s no food inside the car. Make sure to keep your doors locked.
