Locations in Southern Colorado for Drug Take-Back Day, April 27

Saturday will be the day for the 17th National Drug Take-Back Initiative, so if you’ve got unneeded medications, it’s a good time to clear out the medicine cabinet.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and there’s no charge.

People in El Paso County can take unused medications or substances to the following locations:

Colorado Springs Police Department Police Operations Center
705 South Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 El Paso County Household Hazardous Waste Facility
3255 Akers Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80922 University of Colorado Memorial Hospital North
4050 Briargate Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 Security Fire Department, Station 1
400 Security Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80911

Pueblo County residents can go to:

Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office West Sub-Station
320 Joe Martinez Blvd. Pueblo Rural Fire Station
29912 U.S. Highway 50 E (between Wago Drive and 30th Lane) Valley Health Mart Pharmacy
4493 Bent Brothers Blvd., Colorado City Beulah Fire Station
8675 Central Ave., Beulah King Soopers
3050 W. Northern Ave., Pueblo

Fremont County residents can go to the Canon City Police Department at 161 Justice Center Road, or the Garden Park Building at 201 N. 6th Street.
