FEMA approves additional $12.4 million for Denver County’s COVID-19 response

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- FEMA has approved an additional $12.4 million in Public Assistance funding for the COVID-19 response in Colorado.

The most recent funding reimburses Denver county:

  • $2,795,680 in federal funding for supplemental staffing of healthcare professionals between March 28, 2020, and June 30, 2022.
  • $9,645,676 in federal funding for COVID-19 screening and testing, coroner lab services, informational material, and personal protective equipment. This funding covers costs from March 1, 202, to July 1, 2022.

FEMA has approved more than $2 billion in Public Assistance grant funds to Colorado for its pandemic response.
