Purgatory Resort announces new opening among fresh snowfall

DURANGO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Purgatory Resort is announcing the opening of Tubing Hill on December 15, 2023.

Purgatory Resort is now 55 percent open, with skiing and riding available on 59 out of 107 total trails, with more openings on the horizon.

Lift 8 is on track to open over the upcoming weekend, December 16-17, 2023.

The announced openings come after nine inches of overnight snowfall hit the area.
