Windy Saturday 11-23-18
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and not as breezy tonight. Lows will be in the 20s over the mountains with 30s in the lower terrain areas.
TOMORROW: We start Saturday out with sunshine and will see clouds increase through the morning. This should allow us to warm into the 50s once more tomorrow. Rain and snow is still in the forecast, but it doesn’t look to arrive until after 2 or 3PM along and east of I-25. Mountain cities will likely see some snow showers earlier in the afternoon. Most places will be seeing both rain and snow off and on before transitioning to light snow after sunset. Things still look like they will wrap up after midnight, leaving the area with 1″ or less accumulation (if that). Locations near Monument might see up to 2″, if lucky. If you aren’t seeing rain or snow on Saturday, you’ll be feeling the wind. A wind alert level 1 is out for that day too due to wind gusts between 35-45 mph. Places over the plains will be seeing gusts to 50 mph. Sunshine follows Sunday into next week.
EXTENDED: The winds will still be strong on Sunday but dying down from west to east. Also, the cold front the passing front will be felt as highs drop about 20 degrees. Most areas will feel temps in the 30s and 40s during the day with sunshine returning.
