Colorado Springs Marathon closes areas of downtown
COLORADO SPRINGS – Areas of downtown have been closed due to the Colorado Springs Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids K.
The marathon course started in Acacia Park and took runners to Wood Avenue, Cascade Avenue, Platte Avenue, through America the Beautiful Park, Monument Valley Park, around Memorial Park, by the Olympic Training Center and through downtown.
Parts of Nevada Avenue and Tejon Street are closed, as well as Platte Avenue between Cascade Avenue and North Union Boulevard.
The Full Marathon Awards Ceremony took place at 11:15 this morning.
The event lasts until 2 p.m.
