Mostly sunny and warmer – 06/15/18
Today: Temperatures will be noticeably warmer compared to what we got yesterday! The area of low pressure that generated several strong and severe thunderstorms yesterday will be tracking off to the northeast today. That will give way for high pressure to develop! High means dry. We’ll be warm, mostly sunny and dry. Temperatures will reach the 80s for the lower elevations with the 70s for the local mountains.
Tonight: Mostly clear skies are anticipated overnight. Lows drop to the 40s and 50s.
Extended: The heat is on starting Tuesday! Highs will be reaching the 90s and 100s for the lower elevations Tuesday through Friday. Not only will it be scorching, it will be primarily dry. On Wednesday, we only have a small chance for stray storms in the Pikes Peak region. Thursday and Friday, there will be elevated fire danger with lower relative humidity levels and gusty conditions. Saturday offers a slight chance for spotty storms. We’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest!
