Isolated storms possible today – 5/29/18
TODAY: We will see an isolated mountain shower or two as we go through the first part of the day. Better opportunities for a few showers and storms after noon today. A couple could become strong, mainly producing hail and gusty winds. Highs will be much cooler today and only top off in the 70s and 80s in the lower elevations. Our mountain cities will feel the 60s.
TONIGHT: Storms move out and we are left with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Lows cool into the 40s and 50s.
EXTENDED: More widespread showers and storms are expected tomorrow. It looks as though some could become strong for the third day in a row. Highs still stay in the 70s and 80s until a big warm up for the second half of the week. Dry skies are expected Thursday through Saturday with highs in the 80s and 90s. 70s over the higher terrain. Winds look to increase Thursday and Friday afternoon which will bring elevated to critical fire danger.
