Warm and Breezy with Some Storms Today 5-23-18
TONIGHT: Showers and storms are much more isolated today than previous days. What storms that form mainly in far Southern Colorado and the Eastern Plains will weaken and diminish shortly after sunset. Skies stay partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight with temps falling to the 40s and 50s by early tomorrow.
TOMORROW: An even hotter day is expected with most places reaching the 80s and 90s by the afternoon. The 70s will be common again for our mountain cities. Skies stay mostly sunny with very slight chances for storms mainly in the far Eastern Plains.
EXTENDED: Temperatures heat up even more through the weekend with highs well into the 80s and 90s. In fact, some areas in the Eastern Plains could reach near 100 degrees. Breezy conditions are expected at times with Sunday the most likely day for critical fire danger. Most areas stay mostly dry through much of the Memorial Day Weekend but isolated storms are always possible. A slight cool down with chances for rain and storms look possible by Tuesday.
