Woman dies in 2-car crash at East Boulder St., Bob Peters Grove in Colorado Springs

A woman involved in a two-car crash in Colorado Springs last month died from her injuries on Thursday.

Mary A. Berrien, 71, of Colorado Springs was a passenger in the Ford Focus that collided with a Toyota SUV at the intersection of East Boulder Street and Bob Peters Grove on December 27.

It happened at around 1 p.m., the Ford was attempting to make a left-hand turn from southbound Bob Peters Grove onto eastbound East Boulder Street when it was hit by the Toyota traveling eastbound.

Colorado Springs police say the Toyota had the right of way.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.

Berrien is the 39th traffic-related fatality of 2017.
