Motorcycle crash leaves rider with life-threatening injuries Friday morning in COS
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - A motorcycle crashed Friday morning in Colorado Springs as lanes merged due to another unrelated crash.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said officers were investigating the unrelated crash in the 2400 block of S. Circle Dr. and the right lane was closed with traffic being diverted to the left lane. An SUV in the right lane merged into the left and a motorcycle in the left lane behind failed to slow down.
The motorcycle rear-ended the SUV and the rider, who was wearing a helmet, sustained life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a local hospital and their condition is unknown, according to CSPD.
The 2400 block of Southbound Circle Dr. was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.
