COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A man was arrested after Colorado Springs Police say he attempted to break into a vehicle and resisted arrest.

Officers were called to the area of E. Woodmen Rd. and Interstate 25 just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived officers found a man - identified as Jefferson Doe - in the parking lot of a car dealership on the 6800 block of Vincent Dr., trying to break into a vehicle. Officers say Doe was completely naked.

Colorado Springs Police say the suspect did not comply with officers' commands. One officer tasered Doe, which had no effect. Investigators say the suspect then tried to kick officers and was tasered again.

Colorado Springs Police say six officers assisted in restraining Doe in handcuffs and leg restraints. While the suspect was being transported to the hospital, police say he broke free of soft restraints and tried to bite a paramedic. When the ambulance pulled over, police say Doe kicked an officer.

After Doe was checked out by medical staff, he was transported to the El Paso County jail. He now faces several felony and misdemeanor charges.
