Snow day in Southern Colorado: Closures, photos, traffic

The snow started falling early across southern Colorado and many of you woke up Sunday to the light blue hue of the sun eking its way through the clouds to reflect off the fresh snow.

First it was snow on Halloween, now it’s snow on Veterans Day. We’re expecting at least three inches of snow throughout the day overnight into Monday morning. For the most up-to-date weather reports, watch KRDO tonight and stay on www.krdo.com/weather.

Colorado Springs police say officers are on accident alert status. That means if you’re involved in a traffic accident where there’s no fatality or injury, neither driver is suspected of DUI, both drivers are licensed and all cars are properly registered/insured: drivers should exchange information and complete a cold report.

To complete a cold report, go to cspd.coloradosprings.gov.

Before heading out on the streets, check the KRDO Traffic Tracker map to see accidents and major slowdowns. That map can be seen by clicking HERE.

Send us your photos and we’ll feature them on TV and on KRDO.com.
