Mild Easter Weekend ahead

Today: Windy conditions persist for one more day. A low-pressure system is stopping by Colorado before moving out east. The system is causing some higher wind gusts. 20-mph gusts have been consistent, with areas over the high country getting 30-40-mph gusts. Temperatures are chilly with Colorado Springs in the 50s and Pueblo getting up to 60 degrees. Despite the colder weather, a red flag warning is still in place for all of eastern Colorado, the San Luis Valley, and Fremont County due to the high gusts.

Tomorrow: Temperatures warm up, and winds die down as we welcome in a ridge of high pressure for the Easter weekend. Temperatures will be in the 60s for most areas. The only area that will see 20 mph gusts is likely Fremont County.

Easter: Temperatures remain warm and mild, with Colorado Springs in the mid-60s and Pueblo seeing a good chance to hit 70 degrees. Winds stay mild across the eastern plains, but as we head into the evening, Trinidad in Las Animas County sprouts some 20-30 mph wind gusts.
