Showers and storms continue for Memorial Day
TODAY: We are expecting mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies through the first half of today. Lingering showers are expected through the morning over the Eastern Plains and the Southeast Corner through lunchtime. After 12pm, a few showers and storms pop up west of the interstate and try to make their toward the plains. Most won't cross east of I-25 today, so our mountain towns and Colorado Springs will have the best shot at seeing some more umbrella weather. Severe storms aren't likely today, but one or two strong storms that produce small hail and locally gusty winds are very possible. Highs today will warm to the upper 40s and low 50s in the mountains, with highs in the 60s over the lower terrain.
TONIGHT: Clearing and drying with overnight lows dropping to the 30s and 40s.
EXTENDED: We will be mainly dry tomorrow with the exception of a few mountain showers. Highs will be significantly warmer and will top out in the 60s and 70s. We increase our chances for more showers and storms as we head into Thursday. Those stick with us through Saturday. Highs the rest of the week remain in the 70s and 80s. We will return to the 90s in some areas with dry skies by next Sunday.
