Red flags issued for Southern Colorado

REDFLAGS

TODAY: Filtered sunshine is in the forecast for Southern Colorado this Wednesday. We didn't start the day with low clouds, so highs will be much warmer this afternoon! We will reach the upper 70s to low and mid 80s with 60s in our mountain towns. Red flag warnings are out for Southern Colorado from noon until 8pm tonight. Winds will gust to 35 mph and relative humidity values will be around 10%. If you see smoke or fire today, please report it!

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows dropping to the 40s.

EXTENDED: Scattered storm chances return Thursday through Saturday. It looks like Friday will be our best day for more widely scattered storms as our next weather system drops into the state. Highs those three days remain in the 60s and 70s. If you are a fan of the warmth, sunshine and HOT weather moves back in through Tuesday of next week. Temperatures will climb to the 80s and 90s, well above normal for this time in May!
