Holiday forecast

Tonight: Staying mostly cloudy for the majority of Colorado with no chance of precipitation. Those clouds will insulate the surface quite effectively, keeping low temperatures in the high 30s and even low 40s. Which will range from 15-20 degrees warmer than average low temperatures in late December.

Monday: Another warm and cloudy day on tap. Temperatures into the mid-60s, which will mark the 19th day of December with above-average temperatures in Colorado Springs. Safe to say it's been a warm month. No chance of precipitation and light winds. So overall a comfortable day.

Tuesday: Colorado we'll finally begin to feel the effects of a cold front approaching from the west coast, with high temperatures dropping into the 40s. Specifically western/central Colorado will see snow showers. The I-25 corridor, not so much. Late Tuesday night and very early Wednesday morning a flurry or two is possible over the Palmer divide. Nothing serious, blink and you'll miss it.

Wednesday: Temperatures still hovering in the 40s with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. I'd put the odds of a White Christmas in Colorado Springs at slim to none. Google the definition of a White Christmas, it's a hotly contested topic. The bulk of the snowfall will stay out west and up over the higher elevations. Good for travelers on I-25, bad for snowball fights.
