Tracking Rain Chances and Warmer Temperatures

It was another active day across southern Colorado. We've saw numerous thunderstorms across the region and it looks like the rain chances aren't really going anywhere as we kickoff the new workweek.

Rainfall amounts across the region today have been rather impressive. Upwards of 2 inches of rain fell in the Fountain area and a over an inch fell near the Beulah area, prompting a flash flood emergency (now expired).

As we head into the evening hours tonight showers and thunderstorms will slowly dissipate and we'll see partly cloudy skies during the overnight hours with overnight lows in the upper 50s.

As we head into the beginning of the workweek plan on a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms to develop on Monday with high temperatures climbing back into the mid 80s. We'll see a similar set-up on Tuesday with high temperatures returning to the lower 90s across southern Colorado.

The rest of the workweek looks warm with afternoon chances for showers and thunderstorms each day.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and stay safe!
