RAIN/SNOW FOR THURSDAY

STORM

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies with lows dropping to the 30s and 40s. Flurries are likely west of I-25 especially after midnight tonight.

THURSDAY: The morning drive tomorrow (anytime after 6am) will bring chances for both rain and snow. The best chance for snow will be through Teller County and over Monument Hill and the Palmer Divide. We should see increased coverage of rain and snow through 10am tomorrow before the storm shifts south and east. This will be a fast-moving storm and most of the moisture will be falling during the daylight hours. This will keep roads mainly wet during the morning and afternoon! The best chance for a little slush will be on roads through the mountains. Accumulation will be anywhere from a trace to 2” in Teller County and over the Palmer Divide. Places through Colorado Springs will only see a trace to 1”.

EXTENDED: Clearing skies expected for Friday with temps in the 40's. The Weekend starts on a dry and calm note with steady highs in the 50's and 60's
