Frosty and cold morning, then warmer afternoon – 10/7/19

TODAY: Frost advisories are in place through Southern Colorado this morning. We also have freeze warnings out for the Palmer Divide. These cold weather alerts are in place through 8am before we get into more mild temps by the afternoon. Highs today will be in the 60s and 70s under mainly sunny skies.

TONIGHT: Clear and chilly with overnight lows dropping to the 30s and 40s.

EXTENDED: The next couple of days look very warm with highs in the 70s and 80s under sunshine. By Thursday, our next round of active weather moves in. Our temps will likely drop about 40 degrees and we will see some snow moving through during the morning and afternoon. There is a chance this will mix with rain in places through Pueblo and over the Plains. It is still too early to determine any accumulation. Typically with early season snows, accumulation is very minor and is usually contained to elevated surfaces and grassy areas due to warm ground temps. Get those winter coats ready!
