COLDER BY FRIDAY

Tonight: Cloudy start to the overnight hours with gradual clearing. Temperatures stay in the upper 30s and 40s across the region.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny skies for most of the daypart. High temps will rebound back to the low 70's for Colorado Springs and low 80's along the Arkansas river valley. A few clouds by the afternoon and some off and on mountain breezes between 15-25 mph gusts as times.

Extended: A strong cold front arrives Friday returning temps to the 50's and 60's for highs with gusty winds through the afternoon behind the front. The weekend begins with seasonal highs in the 60's and ends on a frigid note with highs in the 30's and 40's by Sunday and a chance for rain/snow mix for higher terrain areas around the pikes peak region.
