Special Weather Statement issued August 13 at 3:34PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO

At 333 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Rush, or 37 miles southwest of Limon, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph, brief hail up to one half inch,
and torrential rainfall.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible. Quick runoff from heavy rainfall could cause
ponding of water on roads and quick rises in area streams,
creeks and normally dry washes.

Locations impacted include…
Yoder and Rush.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
