Cooler with monsoon showers and thunderstorms, along with possible flash flooding

Tonight we do have a chance for showers and thunderstorms for most areas here in southern Colorado. We will see mostly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Some of the storms that do develop do have the potential for producing heavy rain. Expect overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Friday will bring us another round of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Some of the rain could be on the heavy side. We will be watching the potential for flash flooding over the Aspen Burn Scar areas. Expect high temperatures in the lower 80s.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue through the weekend. We could see periods of heavy rain in the afternoon and evening hours. Expect highs in the lower 80s.

The cool and wet weather will continue into the beginning of next week. We will see highs in the 80s on Monday.
