Marty’s Thursday Evening Forecast – Quiet Night Ahead! 6/9/2022
Overview: We're tracking very warm air and lesser chances for rain.
Tonight: Mostly clear with low temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s for the plains and 40s over the mountains and high mountain valleys.
Friday: Partly cloudy and breezy at times with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s for most areas, but some mountain communities may remain in the 70s. Isolated, brief showers are possible over and near the mountains, and there could be a little thunder, but we don’t expect much rain and are not expecting any strong or severe thunderstorms anywhere.
Extended: We’ll remain partly cloudy, breezy, and very warm this weekend. We have only limited chances for rain and thunder with Saturday probably more likely to deliver at least isolated showers and thunderstorms to parts of the area. High temperatures are expected to reach the 80s and 90s along the I-25 corridor, 90s to lower 100s for the southeastern plains, and 70s and 80s for the mountains and high mountain valleys through Monday. Slightly cooler air may arrive around Tuesday and Wednesday, but right now it appears that showers and thunderstorms associated with the cooler air may remain to our north.
