Warm Monday with afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms

Partly cloudy and warm this afternoon… with scattered afternoon thunderstorms.

TODAY: Increasing clouds this afternoon with showers and thunderstorms firing from 1 pm and beyond. High temperatures today will top out in the low to mid-80s. Severe storms are possible across the far eastern plains.

TONIGHT: Showers and storms will be possible through roughly 11 pm. Partly cloudy and mild overnight with lows in the 50s.

EXTENDED: Afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances will stick with us through at least the middle of the week. A weak cold front will drop temperatures into the upper-70s and low-80s on Wednesday, with warmer temps again Thursday and Friday.
