STORM CHANCES RETURN TOMORROW/THURSDAY
TONIGHT: A few isolated storms possible west of I-25 through sunset; otherwise, mostly calm. Skies will mainly clear during the overnight hours with morning lows Wednesday falling into the low and mid-60s.
WEDNESDAY: First half of the day nice and dry with partly sunny skies. Temps slightly cooler in the upper 80's to low 90's for Colorado Springs and Middle 90's from Pueblo to the Eastern Plains. Storms fire up near Denver between 2-4 pm then sweep across the Pikes Peak region between 4pm - 8pm and will continue south towards Pueblo and Fremont Counties for the duration of the evening. A few stronger storms possible with hail and gusty winds the primary threat.
EXTENDED: Another round of strong to severe storms possible on Thursday as energy coming over the top of a high-pressure ridge anchored over the desert south-west will help to trigger afternoon convection. Isolated storms may grow into the severe range. Still hot with afternoon highs in the low and mid-90s into the weekend.
