WARM AND WINDY PATTERN

TONIGHT: Winds will begin to back off after the sun sets Monday night for the Pikes Peak region;however, gusty winds east of I-25 will continue through the overnight. Partly to mostly clear with temps in the upper 50s and low 60s overnight.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly sunny the first half of the day transitioning to a mix of sun/clouds by the afternoon hours. Mostly dry afternoon but a few isolated storms are likely for higher terrain areas after 3pm. Storms expected to stay sub-severe. Stronger winds are with us through the day keeping high fire danger a top concern for Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Hot and windy through midweek. This will likely lead to fire weather statements through Wednesday. Forecast highs remain in the 90's with low-end chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. A cold front will knock back the heat heading into Thursday and Friday.
