Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Still Blustery – 12/29/19
Overview: The storm will move away from the area ushering in a period of dry, cool weather for all areas in the next couple of days. We should warm some for the start of the New Year!
Today: Decreasing clouds for all areas during the day, but we'll remain breezy to windy at times over the plains and afternoon temperatures will only warm into the 20s and 30s. Watch for slick roadways if you are traveling through areas that received fresh snow with our latest storm.
Tonight: Becoming mostly clear and cold with low temperatures in the single digits and teens for most areas.
Extended: We'll expect another mostly sunny, cool day on Monday with a few more clouds and slightly warmer air on Tuesday, which is, of course, New Year’s Eve. For New Year’s Day (Wednesday) we should warm into the 40s and 50s in advance of another wave that looks to kick up the wind, cool the air and bring a chance for at least a few snow flurries to parts of the area Wednesday night and/or early Thursday morning. Friday looks dry, breezy and warmer.
