Temperatures Rising Into Friday, Cooler Air on the Horizon

Most of us will remain dry through the rest of the evening and into the overnight hours, with a potential isolated stronger storm near the New Mexico border. Otherwise, look for temperatures to fall back into the 50s and low 60s. It will be a little cooler overnight in the San Luis Valley, with overnight lows in the 40s.

It'll be another hot day on Friday, as high temperatures build to well above-average numbers. Many will feel 90s by the afternoon before cooler air and slight chances for showers and thunderstorms arrive later Friday evening.

Chances for a few showers and thunderstorms will remain on Saturday, although temperatures will cool down slightly. One more summer-like day will be with us on Sunday as temperatures warm right back up into the 90s for many. Afterwards, much cooler temperatures and growing chances for widespread precipitation arrive early next week.
