Stormy Thursday, Temperatures on the Rise
TODAY: Partly to sunny, breezy at times, and warmer with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the plains, 70s and 80s for the mountains and high mountain valleys. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along the I-25 corridor. Over and near the mountains the storms should be generally weak with brief downpours, gusty wind, and some lightning. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms could develop east of I-25 during the afternoon and evening with heavy rain, large hail, and damaging wind gusts possible.
Weekend: Isolated showers and maybe a little thunder are possible on Friday, mainly over and near the mountains. We’ll remain partly cloudy and breezy with limited chances for rain through the weekend. High temperatures are expected to reach the 80s and 90s along the I-25 corridor, 90s to lower 100s for the southeastern plains, and 70s and 80s for the mountains and high mountain valleys. Some cooler air may arrive around Tuesday and Wednesday, and possibly result in a better chance for more thunderstorms over parts of the area.
