Tracking a warm and wet weekend

KRDO

Today: Colorado Springs will get showers and thunderstorms this evening after 2 pm. The high country areas could get rain as early as 1 pm. The southeast stays mainly dry through the evening. The best time for outdoor activities will be the morning.

Tomorrow: For Sunday the timeframe is bumped up to slightly earlier with showers and thunderstorms over I-25 starting at 1 pm.

The Aspen Acres burn scar will see showers through both evenings. However, extremely heavy rainfall is not expected over the area. We recommend staying weather aware as it only takes a half of an inch of rain, in a short period of time, to experience flooding.

Both days will be in the low 90s for Colorado Springs with mid-90s for Pueblo. Overnight lows will come through the early morning hours around 6-7 am and at times be down into the high 50s.
