COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo (KRDO)--

A last push of cold air and moisture over Southeast Colorado drowns out the fire danger for the next couple of days, and a mix of rain and snow will help the flowers bloom during the week.

Our work week starts out chilly with overnight low temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s, and the Monday morning commute will be a chilly one with those snow showers continuing through the morning rush. The sun returns by afternoon, but high temperatures will only be in the mid 50s.

Warmer and drier air returns to the region on Tuesday, and unfortunately so to does the fire danger.
