Sunshine and warm temperatures return to Colorado

Tonight: Winds remaining breezy through the early evening forecast, gradually turning mostly calm overnight in central/southern Colorado. Mostly clear skies with temperatures to 43 degrees in Colorado Springs and mid-40s in Pueblo. Keep an eye on the San Luis Valley, temperatures dropping into the 20s prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Freeze Warning tonight in the area.

Wednesday: Just an all around gorgeous day on tap. Plenty of sunshine helping temperatures warm to 76 degrees in Colorado Springs and 85 degrees in Pueblo. A few clouds will develop during the afternoon, but no precipitation is expect. Afternoon wind speeds staying below 20mph.

Extended: This warming trend will continue through into the weekend forecast as much of the western United States will sit under a ridge of high pressure. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday/Saturday, but by no means cancel your weekend plans, the vast majority of central/southern Colorado will stay dry.
