A few more days of heat before storms take over later this week

TODAY: Another hot day ahead. Temps reach the upper 80s and low 90s for most. We'll see a chance at a couple mountain showers and storms, but coverage will be a bit lower. Still remaining dry for areas along and east of I-25.

SUNDAY: More heat... staying dry. Temps will likely get into the lower 90s for most. A spotty storm is possible in the mountains, but for now, monsoon flow remains further west this weekend.

NEXT WEEK: Monday looks like a pretty hot day before we see things turn around into the middle of the week. Showers and storms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, with thunderstorm chances and cooler temperatures continuing through the end of the week. This pattern looks to bring more beneficial rain to the mountains and to parts of eastern Colorado.. especially along and north of HWY 24. It won't be drought busting, but it will be a step in the right direction for sure. The place that needs the moisture the most is the mountains... and thankfully they will get in on it next week too.
