TODAY: High pressure will continue to dominate our weather pattern today, which will result in mostly dry and hot conditions across the state. Most of the lower elevations will end up in the 80s and 90s, with mid to upper 70s for our local mountains. The only area of concern will be over southeastern Colorado, where the ingredients are in place for an isolated strong to severe storm this afternoon. Anything that manages to develop though should move out of the state and dissipate through the evening.

TOMORROW: A cold front is set to move through in the morning that will shake up our relatively mild weather pattern! Highs will fall back into the 70s and 80s for most, with increasing clouds and storm chances through the afternoon. There will exist a slight chance for a few strong to severe storms, primarily across the eastern plains. Lingering scattered showers are expected to last overnight and into Monday morning.

NEXT WEEK: Unsettled conditions will continue on Monday with highs staying a bit on the cooler side. High pressure builds back in on Tuesday with a warming trend lasting through Friday. We will retain a bit of moisture across the state which will set the stage for daily afternoon storms, which is very typical for this time of year.
