Monday: Nothing but sunshine through the day with record breaking heat possible. High's to 94 degrees in Colorado Springs and 97 in Pueblo. No chance of precipitation along the I-25 corridor, but a few scattered thunderstorms will fire up across the eastern plains overnight into Tuesday morning.

Extended: A dominant ridge of high pressure will remain parked over the intermountain west, bringing Colorado the warmest temperatures of the year so far. Colorado Springs will sit in the mid 90s through Thursday and low 100s across HWY 50. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms will look to fire up on Tuesday and stay a daily occurrence through the end of the week.
