Tuesday Evening Weather Update

After another round of rain and strong storms on the Eastern Plains, we will finally dry out by Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning will start cool and dry with tmeperatures in the mid-40s.

Overall Wednesday will be a nice day with highs rising to more normal levels in the upper 70s for much of the area. There is a slight chance of afternoon storms but those should be confined to the higher elevations and no severe weather is expected.

Our trend for the remainder of the week shows that temperatures will be warming to above normal by Friday with highs reaching well into the 80s and possibly 90s for some. Thunderstorm chances decrease through the week as well but we bring back the chance for afternoon storms for this weekend and a more typical summer-time pattern sets in.

Overall, youre extended forecast looks a lot more like a June forecast should so enjoy the nice weather and for the first time in awhile, stay cool out there!
