Windy Friday Ahead

Tonight: The winds were relatively breezy earlier in the day with gusts to 30mph in Colorado Springs, but expect the winds to die off by early evening along the I-25 corridor. Mostly clear skies overnight in central/southern Colorado with low temperatures down to 51 degrees in Colorado Springs and 53 in Pueblo.

Friday: Partly cloudy to start the morning with temperatures again warming nicely today, highs to 79 degrees in Colorado Springs and 86 in Pueblo. Winds really picking up by early afternoon with gusts to 45mph for much of the state. Winds will be out of the south, so any east/west oriented roads might be dealing with strong cross winds. In addition to the winds, scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely develop during the early afternoon and push east through the evening.

Extended: Rinse and repeat for Saturday with more scattered showers and thunderstorms. It's possible we could dodge any precipitation on Sunday as conditions look clear. Although Sunday winds could again be an issue.
