Unsettled weather in Colorado

Tonight: A cold front dropped through Colorado this afternoon which has sparked up a line of thunderstorms that are currently moving across the eastern plains. It's possible a few of these storms could strengthen briefly and turn strong to severe. Biggest threats out of the storms are strong wind gusts, over 60mph and hail. Although the National Weather Service did mention that mid level wind shear values in the eastern plains are strong enough to support a brief spin up tornado, but the likelihood of this happening is still low. Gradually turning mostly clear overnight with low temperatures down to 40 degrees in Colorado Springs and 43 in Pueblo.

Mother's Day: Cold air and cloud coverage will build in early in the day, drastically limiting our daytime heating. High temperatures only to 45 degrees in Colorado Springs and 52 in Pueblo. Isolated rain showers during the morning hours will build in coverage throughout the day and into the evening. Precipitation changing to snow over the mountainous areas overnight into Monday morning.

Extended: Rain/Snow showers likely Monday and Tuesday with even the potential for light snow accumulation in the Colorado Springs area. Gradually conditions will clear up by Thursday.
