Warming trend through Thursday

Tonight: Scattered showers and weak thunderstorms will gradually come to an end from west to east overnight. Low temperatures reaching into the low 40s in Colorado Springs and mid 40s along HWY 50 and light winds at 5-10mph.

Tuesday: Plenty of morning sunshine helping temperatures back into the mid 70s in Colorado Springs and closer to 80 along HWY 50. Turning breezy by early afternoon with gusts to 30mph for most valley locations. Isolated afternoon showers are also possible, but overall coverage is looking limited.

Extended: Warming and drying trend continues through the mid-week forecast with temperatures returning to the 70s and 80s for Wednesday and Thursday. Rain/thunderstorm chances making a return for Friday and Saturday afternoon with clearing expected by Sunday. Long range computer models are suggesting temperatures hitting into the 80s and even potentially 90s next week.
