RAIN/SNOW THIS EVENING

TONIGHT: Snow/rain showers continue through 10pm tonight and then tapering off through early Tuesday morning. Light accum expected for higher terrain areas. Monument, Larkspur, and Peyton in N. El Paso and Douglas Counties are the most likely places to receive 2-3" of snow accumulation.

For Colorado Springs, temperatures will be slightly less conducive for snowfall, into the low 40s. It's likely that the downtown area will see a rain/snow mix with wet roads being the main concern for travelers. Grassy areas could see light snow accumulation but nothing significant.

TUESDAY: Gradual clearing expected through Tuesday and returning to partly sunny skies with temps in the 30's and 40's for the Pikes Peak Region and in the upper 40's to near 50° from Pueblo into the Eastern Plains

EXTENDED: Increasing clouds expected Wednesday as another system sweeps the state. Expect falling temps through the day with highs only in the 30's and 40's and another round of snow Wednesday evening.
