COOLER END TO THE WEEK

Noticeably cooler temps on Thursday will yield cooler temps overnight with most areas in the teen to low 20's

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with cool temps in the 40's for the Pikes Peak region and close to 50° for part of the eastern plains.

WEEKEND: Persistent ridging pattern over the intermountain west this weekend. Typical characteristics of sunshine and warm temperatures from high pressure will hold true through Sunday. Temperatures pushing 10 degrees above average in Colorado Springs Sunday afternoon, reaching into the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: The next chance for rain/snow in Colorado Springs is early next week. The newest computer models runs are looking less optimistic for even moderate snow accumulation in central/eastern Colorado. Forecast confidence is low so I'm just going to leave it at, chance snow showers Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Very detailed I know. I'll have updates tomorrow.
