Chilly start to the week, then back to the 50s by Wednesday!

Tonight: Winter weather advisories are in effect for the central/western Colorado mountains till 9am Monday morning. The cold front sweeping through the state tonight will not bring the I-25 corridor or eastern Colorado much in the way of precipitation, just cooler temperatures, and a light breeze. Lows reaching about 25 degrees in Colorado Springs, and 30 in Pueblo.

Monday: The cold front exits out of eastern Colorado by early morning, with many of us will be dealing with a temperature forecast about 20 degrees cooler than that of Sunday. Colorado Springs will hit about 37 degrees by the early afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The main weather story will be the wind. Gusts in the far eastern plains will likely gust to 40mph for a good portion of the day. Colorado Springs will deal with gusts to 25mph during the morning, with gradual calming expected throughout our Monday.

Extended: Entering into a calm and warming weather pattern. Temperatures reaching 10-15 degrees above average once again this week with very minimal precipitation chances through Friday. Just for fun, we're only 8 days into December and Colorado Springs has already broken daily high-temperature records twice. So much for those brutal Colorado winters.
