Colorado Springs Utilities responds to power outage affecting 7,200 customers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Thousands of customers in Colorado Springs were without power for about an hour Sunday morning. Colorado Springs Utilities initially estimated that it could take several hours for power to be restored, but the actual wait was much shorter.
CSU reported the incident just after 9:30 a.m. and said all power had been restored at 10:24 a.m. -- an improvement over their estimated time of 1 p.m. About 7,200 residents were affected.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience," they said in the statement.
